Thank goodness for itunes and podcasts–which introduced me to many of amazing NPR broadcasts that CPR and the other local affiliates fail to provide on their signal.

There is a desperate need for more local news programming on local radio. The default “news” leader KOA is a joke, peppering its razor-thin reports with a heavy dose of right-wing commentary (especially on Colorado’s Morning News) by the alleged “news” anchors. CPR may be having some growing pains in expanding its news operation, but so far they’re the only promising alternative for Denver or Colorado news. Good luck, guys.
