As publisher Dan Brogan noted, last week was a great one for 5280. The magazine was named again as a finalist for a National Magazine Award and was nominated for five awards from the City and Regional Magazine Association.
The National Magazine Award nod went to “Low on O2,” 5280’s in-depth look at the often-misunderstood effects of living at high altitude, which appeared in the October 2009 issue and was written by staffers Lindsey B. Koehler and Natasha Gardner.

Dovetail Solutions has added University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) to its client roster. Dovetail will “develop strategic community investment within UCH, as well as media relations and public relations activities on behalf the academic hospital.” UCH, located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, is the region’s only academic hospital and consistently ranks among the top hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
Congratulations to Cohn Marketing, which nabbed three silver awards and one gold at the annual MAXI Awards, the shopping center industry’s highest marketing honor. Cohn also picked up a 2010 REBRAND 100 Global Award for is rebranding work with client Seattle Fish Company.
