The gambling towns of Black Hawk and Central City will hold an event Thursday to raise awareness of the $1.1 billion gambling has contributed to the state since it was legalized in 1991. The Denver Post’s Andy Vuong suspects the PR “dog-and-pony show” is designed to influence state legislators who will decide whether to raise the betting limits.
