CSU Suspends Defensive Line Coach for Anti-Gay Slur

Colorado State University has suspended defensive line coach Greg Lupfer for two weeks without pay for shouting an anti-gay slur at a Washington State player during the teams’ bowl game Saturday. The slur – reported to be “F… you, you f…..” – embarrassed the university when it made headlines nationally. It also took attention away from the team’s dramatic comeback win.

Colorado State PRSSA Hosts Digital Reputation Event in Denver

The Colorado State chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America is hosting a digital reputation breakfast event in August. The event will focus on helping attendees develop a strategy for increasing their digital footprints, identify their most important keywords and phrases, quickly and easily monitor what’s being said online and create engaging online content.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Mike Hooker

I’m not sure which one of us has a more appropriate last name for being in the public relations business, but, regardless, congratulations to CBS4 reporter Mike Hooker. He has been named executive director of Public Affairs and Communications at Colorado State University. Hooker, who beat out about 100 other applicants, has spent the past 17 years at CBS4 as its Northern Colorado bureau reporter.
