Meteorologist Chris Dunn and reporters Audra Ensign and Charlie Brennan were among six laid off at KDVR/Fox31 yesterday. Joanne Ostrow at the Denver Post has the details.

Having spent almost 20 years in television news, thankfully during the good times, it’s sad to see a lot of good people shown the door.
Totally understand the economics and I know managers are making tough decisions.
I’m more concerned that a generation of journalists in this town, the ones with perspective and a sense of history are being replaced literally by kids barely out of college.
It’s already showing.

Once his former employer the Rocky Mountain News folded, Fox 31 had no reason to put up with put up his amateurish on-camera stumbling just for his old contacts. The news has become entertainment and Charlie was not entertaining.
