Qwest is launching its first new advertising campaign since it dumped Denver-based McClain Finlon for Chicago-based Draftfcb. The campaign, “Get in the Loop,” will appear in print, and on television, billboard and online properties. You can view the concepts here.

This would be a great ad campaign were it in Chicago, where “Loop” would be better understood. As it is, it’s another classic blunder by Qwest. How many more can they make?
Comment by Tom Auclair June 10, 2008 @ 6:21 pmThe campaign is well understood in Seattle; the “loop” they are promoting are the wide range of services (“triple play”) available via your “local loop”, i.e., your telephone line. It’s not a blunder at all.
